Kerry's Bio
Kerry was a four-year pitcher ad utility player for Southern Connecticut State University.  From Pleasant Valley, NY, Kerry graduated from Southern in 2010 with her Bachelors in Psychology, Mental Health,  Her Junior year,m Kerry was recognized as a Louisville Slugger/NFCA All-region selection as well as a Northeast-10 conference honors pick.  She also led the team in homeruns and slugging percentage. AS a senior captain, Kerry lead the team in ERA, and win to loss record on the mound.  She was recognized with All-Region Honors from the National Fastpitch Coaches Association and a second-team all-conference pick. As a utility player, she also earned an All-Amercian recognition.  During this time, she helped her team to the Unversity’s first NE-10 Conference Championship. Upon graduation, Kerry spent two years as an assistant coach for the Empire State Huskies Fast PItch Softball organization or Westchester, NY.  During this time,m she also provided instruction to the Ridgefield Little League. 2013, she was the assistant Softball and Volleyball coach for Southern Connecticut State University.
In the Community
Kerry continues to work with girls to improve their playing performances in all areas of the game.  She is an active contributor in the community providing support in several fundraisers, Special Olympics events, as individual and group softball lessons and clinics. For four years (2009 – 2013), Kerry acted a paraprofessional for students who have Autism. 2015, she finished up her master’s degree in Special Education, concentrating on Learning Disabilities.  For the past five years, she has been serving children with special needs both in New Haven Public Schools and recently at Boys and Girls Village in Milford, Connecticut. In May, she will be earning her sixth-year degree in Educational Leadership from The University of Bridgeport.
